Chennai-based flying car manufacturer Vinata Aeromobility is gearing up to raise funding of US$1 million for the Initial Product development phase and US$10 million in the next three years to bring to fruition the company’s vision to revolutionize urban transportation and citing ventures like Joby Aviation and Archer attracting the attention of big names like Toyota and United Airlines.
By 2030, it is expected that 60% of the world’s population will be living in urban areas, and over 1.6 billion vehicles will be vying for space on the roads. While mobility will continue to be a prime area of concern for individuals, infrastructure will be unable to handle the demands, and a sustainable solution to transportation woes will need to emerge.
