AI agents are becoming faster and more capable, says Madabushi

Pune’s Talentica Software’s newly introduced DevX AI Pod is a new managed product engineering model that brings agentic AI into end-to-end software delivery. Unlike AI coding tools that operate primarily at a task level, DevX AI Pods combine Talentica’s product engineering practices, unified product context and expert-led agent execution across the development lifecycle. This enables companies to use AI not just to generate code faster, but to make better engineering decisions and deliver right-sized products.

“AI agents are becoming faster and more capable, but speed alone does not solve the hardest product engineering problem. It is understanding what needs to be built and how it should fit within the product,” said Manjusha Madabushi, CTO and Co-founder, Talentica Software.

“Our DevX AI Pods reuse a unified product context across the development lifecycle, enabling agents to work with a fuller understanding of the product while our experts retain responsibility for the outcome. The result is not simply more AI-generated code; it is engineering work verified against what the product actually needs,” Madabushi said on 21 Sept.

Engineering Experience Built into Agent Execution

AI coding tools can over-engineer solutions by optimizing for an ideal end state rather than the product’s current stage. DevX AI pods bring Talentica’s experience of building more than 200 products into agent execution—scoping features based on product stage, aligning architecture to NFRs, and making deliberate trade-offs on technical debt. The result is right-sized engineering for the product’s needs.

AI Engineering Guided by Unified Product Context

AI coding tools can improve productivity at the developer or task level, but they often lack the broader context required for end-to-end engineering execution. Talentica’s DevX AI Pods build the product context from existing artifacts such as PRDs, the codebase, test cases, and architecture documents.

This allows agents to reason about the changes in the context of the existing product rather than execute each task independently. With this context, agents can map dependencies, reuse existing functionality, and perform root-cause analysis on failures.

“The value is not simply in putting humans and agents together in a Pod,” said Madabushi. “What matters is whether the agents have the right product context, whether the output is verified against meaningful quality criteria, and whether the delivery model fits the work being done. DevX AI Pods bring those elements together so companies can focus on engineering outcomes rather than the AI mechanics behind them.”

DevX AI Pods are immediately available from Talentica as a managed product engineering service.

Talentica Software is an AI-native product engineering company that partners with startups and technology enterprises to build, modernize and scale software products. With 600+ engineers and experience delivering more than 200 products, Talentica combines more than two decades of product engineering expertise with AI-native development practices across the software lifecycle. The company helps clients accelerate product delivery, improve engineering efficiency, modernize complex software environments and bring high-quality products to market faster. Talentica was founded in 2003 and is based in Pune. Fiinews.com
