MoU on Skill Development
National Skill Development Agency (NSDA) and The British Council have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for undertaking joint research projects on skill development.
Alan Gemmell, Director- India, The British Council and Dr. Sunita Chhibba, Director-General of NSDA signed the MoU on November 11, 2016.
Under this partnership, The British Council and the NSDA’s National Skill Research Division (NSRD) will carry out collaborations between the UK and India over a period of three years in the skilling domain.
In the first year, the joint research study “Future Skills” will focus on understanding labour market trends and identifying future employment in India in selected manufacturing and service sectors in view of changing technology.
The partnership aims to promote knowledge exchange and research collaborations between UK and India to strengthen capacity of research organisations.
NSRD will serve as a think tank on research related to skill development. fii-news.com
