India’s demand for Toluene stands at about 650 TMT/year
Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri has launched Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited’s (MRPL) latest product, Toluene, a versatile aromatic hydrocarbon, plays a vital role in industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, paints, and defense.
The product was launched during the Minister’s visit to the refinery, MRPL said on 13 Jan 2025.

Toluene, India’s annual demand for Toluene stands at about 650 TMT, but domestic production currently is about 160 TMT.
