Joint Secretary highlights innovation and growth in the cement industry
DPIIT Joint Secretary Sanjiv has called for establishing 50 incubators for the manufacturing sector, citing the National Council for Cement and Building Materials-Incubation Centre (NCB-IC) which was inaugurated on 20 May at Ballabgarh, Haryana http://dpiit.gov.in .
He underlined the importance of Cement Sector https://www.globalcement.com/ for the growth and development in the country, and noted that the industry is constantly evolving, driven by advancements in technology, sustainability and energy efficiency.
“This initiative marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to foster innovation and growth in the cement industry,” Sanjiv said on 20 May at the inauguration of NCB-IC https://attentionindia.com/ .
He interacted with the StartUps working with NCB-IC viz. LivNSense Technologies, Autoabode https://autoabode.com/, AltSF https://altsfpro.com/ , Onelement https://onelement.in/ and Bio in the areas of application of artificial intelligence for increasing percentage of alternative fuels, pre-combustion technology, 3-D printing technology, carbon capture and utilization etc http://bio-rad.com .
“The Government with an intent to build a strong ecosystem for nurturing innovation, startups and encouraging investments in the startup ecosystem,” said Sanjiv.
Sustained efforts led to an increase in the number of DPIIT recognised startups to 1,36,584 as on today. These all-inclusive efforts will lead to India as a developed nation even before 2047. The Startup India https://www.globalstartupawards.com/ initiative was launched on 16 January 2016.
At NCB-IC, the incubatee startups and entrepreneurs will be mentored by the scientists and experts from cement and building materials industry for further improvisation and development of market-ready products for commercialization.
