India-focused Chandan to scale Venturi Partners platform

Two Indian technology experts have been promoted at Venturi Partners, a Singapore-based investment platform that empowers audacious brands in India and Southeast Asia and had recently announced US$175 million final close.

Rishika Chandan and Sarvesh Nevatia have been appointed Managing Director and Executive Director, respectively.

Chandan, who will spend 50% of her time on the Indian market from Singapore, has been a part of companies such as PristynCare, Cure.fit etc.

She will work closely with investors, founders and partners across India and South-East Asia and scale the Venturi Partners platform.

Sharing her thoughts on the promotion, Chandan said on 5 May, “Our team is built around operational experience which I firmly believe is a critical skillset to have. In order to add value to our founders, it’s important for us to have walked in their shoes before.

“We must be empathetic towards differing opinions and be positive sparring partners. Long term partnerships are never a straight line, but alignment on values and vision can be.”

Sarvesh Nevatia, who has also spent time both on the operating as well as investing sides prior to joining Venturi, will lead investments in South-East Asia.

Said Sarvesh, “The opportunity is South East Asia is huge and we look forward to partnering with market defining brands and its founders. I remain committed to building our platform in the region.”

Commenting on Venturi’s growth and what the future holds, Nicholas Cator, Managing Partner said, “I am extremely proud to be able to announce the promotions of Rishika and Sarvesh.

“Their motivation, drive and alignment with Venturi’s core values have been instrumental in reaching our final close and in closing our second and third deals.

“Venturi’s team is built on the core values of entrepreneurship, collaboration, trust and transparency, and both Rishika and Sarvesh fully embody this.

“They are part of the foundations on which Venturi is built and will play a key role I am sure in the long term success of Venturi.”

Founded in 2019 by veteran consumer investor Nicholas Cator, Venturi Partners is an Asia focused investment platform that enables consumer-facing business startups to build disruptive brands in India and Southeast Asia. The firm provides growth funding to customer centric, purpose-driven brands in India and Southeast Asia, with a focus on education, healthcare and fast-moving consumer goods, that have a shared desire to create a positive impact on the world. fiinews.com
