Softbank’s Kohli welcomes Acronis expansion plan in India
Acronis, a software group with corporate headquarters in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, and international headquarters in Singapore, is looking at growing partnership opportunities in India, supported by its super competitive edge in market place and an exceptional talent pool.
Stating this, Pasha Ershow, Chief Revenue Officer and Member, Executive Management Team, Acronis, highlighted the key elements of building a successful business, particularly a unicorn business. These included choosing the right and smart investors, straightforward and simple business idea, selecting the right locations that encourages good business practices and conducive laws and a strong set of values, he said on 28 Jan 2021.
Acronis’ approach from early days was to have continuous engagement with investors and Venture Capitalists throughout, said Pasha was sharing his inspiring journey of Acronis at the fourth (first international) session of the Global Unicorn Interaction Series, an initiative by the Future Business Group (FBG) of CII and Young Indians (Yi) in partnership with SoftBank India. The interaction series has been designed to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurs and guide them to emerge as the next unicorns.
While moderating the session over a digital platform today, Manoj Kohli, Chairman, CII Future Business Group & Country Head, SoftBank Group International, India welcomed the Acronis’ plan of expanding to Indian market and highlighted the growing interest and potential of Indian market in digital space.
He further emphasized being alert, responsive, attention to details and fast decisions as shared by Acronis are some of the core values that every successful business must have.
Briefing about the CII’s Future Business Group initiative, Kartik Shah, National Chair Young Indians (Yi) emphasised that the Global Unicorn series initiative shall go a long way in encouraging the youth of India.
The CII’s Future Business Group (FBG), that comprises of brilliant young leaders of India’s most successful new-age businesses, was officially launched on 3 Sept 2021 by Minister Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Railways.
FBG aims to curate an enabling, and conducive ecosystem that plays an encouraging role in the realization of many new-age businesses, and thus accelerates the way for the novel businesses to bloom in India.
One of the significant initiatives under the group is the Global Unicorn Series being organized in partnership with Yi and SoftBank India.
