NESIDS to spend Rs.695 crore

Ministry of Development of North-East Region has given details of the Rs.3,000 crore proposed allocation in Budget 2019-20 which was tabled in parliament on 5 July 2019.

The proposal allocation is higher than the Rs.2,629 crore allocated in 2018-19.

It is for:

Major schemes under the

North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme (NESIDS): Rs.695 crore (up from Rs.140 crore in 2018-19).

Schemes of North Eastern Council: Rs.580 crore (Rs.607 crore);

Central Pool of Resources for NE & Sikkim: Rs.531 crore (Rs.781 crore);

North East Road Sector Dev Scheme: Rs.666 crore (Rs.391 crore). fiinews.com
