Contracts worth Rs.5,000-Rs.7,000Cr
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured water related projects, estimated to be Rs.5,000-Rs.7,000 crore, in Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Odisha.
Two orders were secured fro Water Resources Department of Tamil Nadu for the execution of the Athikadavu-Avinashi Scheme and construction of a new regulator across the southern and northern arms of the Colroon river, said L&T on 5 Mar 2019.
A third order was signed with Tamil Nadu’s Vellore Municipal Corporation for providing an underground sewerage collection system to the newly added areas of the Vellore City Municipal Corp – Phase III.
L&T has secured an Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract for Jharkhand’s Water & Resources Department for the execution of the Garwah Lift Irrigation Scheme.
The second EPC order is from Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Company Ltd for integrated development waste water systems, storm water drainage, water supply & recycle water systems, transport & circulation, power infrastructure, smart street lighting systems and land development on area based development in Ranchi Smart City.
L&T said it has a repeat order from the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department of Odisha for execution of an individual rural water supply from in the Boudh district.
It also has a turnkey order from the Water Resources Department for executing a Mega Lift Irrigation Project Cluster IV. The work includes execution of nine lift irrigation schemes with intake points in the Mahanadi river for 12,900-ha agriculture land in districts of Sambalpur and Sonepur. fiinews.com
