DJ sees high potential in Indian defence sector
DJ Byers Security Solutions is marketing its Engineered Advanced Defence Technologies to the International and Homeland Defence Markets including India.
Utilizing the very latest in technology combined with over 33 years of experience, the company delivers bespoke solution to meet global requirements, especially for Anti-Terrorism, Asset Protection, Convoy Support, Border security, Maritime Coastal Monitoring and Transient Perimeter Situational Awareness.
DJ Byers showcased the latest products, led by the Intelligent Surveillance System, Presidian, at the Defence and Security Equipment Industry (DSEI) 2017 held in London 12-15 September.
The Presidian is a complete fully mobile intelligent multi-sensor surveillance system and available on multiple platforms/host vehicles.
Byers managing director David Byers and technical director Patrick Byers spoke to fii-news.com about the potential of deploying the products in India.
The Indian market potential is very good, especially the border protection market which need a very high level of detection, with coverage of 20-km to 40-km range.
“We will work to have in-country technical support base and support our systems when deployed in India,” said David Byers.
Given the highly sensitive technology, all production will be done in the United Kingdom.
“We will do the primary assembly in the UK and ship to the client country and do the final assembly there.
“We are also looking to have a support base out there and basic concept training in the client country,” he said.
Patrick Byers listed out the other three systems exhibited at DSEI 2017.
He explained the features of Intelligent Defence System, Defender, which is an integrated visual detection module which provides unparalleled protection for remote assets, site perimeters and borders.
Due to its compact integrated modular design, the system can be both a fixed or rapid deployment solution.
The Sentinel is equipped with an integrated Radar and Thermal Detection System. It is designed to track and detect airborne targets up to 20-km (14,000 ft) and ground based targets with visual verification up to 15-km.
Fully adaptable to meet security requirements, Zyklone provides operators with the capability to control challenging situations.
Designed around a ‘connect and go’ platform, with rapid deployment being a key feature, Zyklone enables fast and effective response, explained Patrick Byers. fii-news.com
