CM Sai sought investments in development of mineral resources
Haryana is focused on semiconductor, electronics, AI, data centres, medical device, automobile, electrical vehicle, electrical vehicles, agri-business and global capability centres, says the State Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini during an investment promotion visit to Singapore 5-7 Oct.
“We have issued specific incentives and policies for these 10 industries for which 100 MoUs have been signed,” said Saini.
The CM highlighted the success of Singapore companies in Haryana and NCR, especially Ascendas – which has developed the International Tech Park in Gurugram.
“Singapore brings global expertise; Haryana offers the scale of India’s growth. Singapore has shown the world how, despite limited resources, it is possible to build world-class infrastructure, efficient cities, robust logistics and thriving business ecosystems,” noted Saini.
As such, he invited Singapore investors to participate in Haryana development including logistics and urban infrastructure.
CM Saini, along with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, held a series of back-to-back meetings with Singapore investors, both highlighting investment opportunities in mineral resources and planned transformation from agri-economy to technology-driven industries being undertaken by the states.
Addressing the Singapore-India Network for Growth Forum 2026, attended by some 300 investors based in Singapore with focus on Indian industrialization programmes, the CMs and their delegations made elaborated presentations on opportunities for investors.
The forum was organized by the Singapore Business Federation.
CM Sai shared investment opportunities in minerals such as iron ore, coal, limestone, and bauxite are available in large quantities. This creates a strong foundation for mineral-based as well as downstream industries.
He informed the investors about the 450 reforms, complex procedures and compliances have been simplified and streamlined, making it easier for investors to do business.
Among major development, Sai highlighted the Nava Raipur being developed as a modern, green and technology-enabled city spread over 237 sq km – making it one of the major greenfield smart cities in India.
Sai also highlighted strong trade relations between Chhattisgarh and Singapore – export or rice, spices, pharmaceuticals, specialty industrial materials, engineering products, electronic components and steel-related products. “We now wish to take this relationship beyond trade and transform it into a long-term partnership”.
