UK company seeks Indian partners

Cambridge Pixel’s primary radar.

Cambridge Pixel is keen to increase its marketing in India of sensor acquisition, processing, tracking and display solutions for applications in military naval command and control, air traffic control (ATC), vessel traffic (VTS), ECDIS, security and airborne radar applications.

It is already a global player with defence sector multi-national corporations, including the supply of radar display and tracking capabilities for the UK Royal Navy through Lockheed Martin.

David Johnson, director at Cambridge Pixel, said “We would like to work with Indian companies as partners. We provide the expertise and they provide the final application and support to the customers such as the Indian Navy.”

India’s leading manufacturers BHEL, L&T, take Cambridge Pixel technology and integrate into naval consoles for Indian ships.

“But we would like to do more, given the potential of the Indian market,” he said.

“There is a very big business potential in from the coastal, waterways and port developments planned in India,” he elaborated.

Cambridge Prixel is represented in India by Trident Infosol Pvt Ltd.

Cambridge Pixel’s SPx suite of software libraries and applications provide highly flexible, ready-to-run software products or ‘modules-of-expertise’ for radar visualisation, radar video distribution, plot extraction, target tracking and sensor fusion.

Cambridge Pixel’s radar technology is used in naval, air traffic control, vessel traffic, commercial shipping, security, surveillance and airborne radar applications. Its systems have been implemented in mission critical applications with companies such as BAE Systems, Frontier Electronic Systems, Lockheed Martin, Barco Defence, Blighter Surveillance Systems, Exelis, Kelvin Hughes, Navtech Radar, Raytheon, Royal Thai Air Force, Saab, Hanwha, Sofresud and Tellumat.

Cambridge Pixel showcased its radar products at the Defence Security Equipment Industry exhibition held in London 12-15 September 2017. fii-news.com
