Ministry wants innovation-driven and self-reliant India
The Ministry of Steel has invited Artificial Intelligence (AI) start-ups and innovators to develop practical and effective solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, sustainability and safety across the steel value chain.
The invitation, along with its Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), was extended at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 held from 16–20 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The Ministry had a dedicated stall at the Summit to present key problem statements from the mining and steel sectors.
Through this platform, the Ministry seeks to create meaningful partnerships between industry stakeholders and emerging technology enterprises to address real-world challenges faced by the steel sector.
The Ministry said AI start-ups and innovators participation and collaboration in building solutions for the sector are expected to contribute to the broader vision of a technologically advanced, innovation-driven and self-reliant India.
The Ministry has called innovators to bring forward their AI-based solutions to help address sectoral challenges and become partners in India’s AI-driven steel sector transformation. Fiinews.com
