Railways’ MoU with Italy

Indian and Italy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Technical Cooperation in Rail Sector, especially for safety related subjects.

The #Railways Ministry and #Ferrovie Dello Stato Italiane Group (FS Group) a Government Company managing the Italian railway sector, will cooperate in train operation safety areas.

Vinod Kumar, Executive Director/Safety(coordination), #Railway Board, signed the MoU on 2 Feb 2017, with Renato Mazzoncini, CEO of FS Group.

The MoU comes in the backdrop of emphasis given by Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Minister of Railways, on safety in railway operation. He has directed Railway Board to collaborate with the international experts and identify the best practices for safety.

FS is internationally recognized in many field, such as design and realization of High Speed and Conventional Lines, Safety Systems, Certification, Training and Operation and Maintenance. fii-news.com
