Aarhus-Udaipur MoU

A Memorandum of Understand (MoU) has been drafted on “Cooperation on Urban Water Management” between Denmark’s Aarhus Water and Udaipur Smart City Ltd.

It is now with the Ministry of External Affairs for approval, Union Minister for Urban Development Venkaiah Naidu said during a meeting with Aarhus mayor Jacob Bundsgaard in New Delhi on December 2, December 2016.

Naidu noted Aarhus expertise in water harvesting technology which can be for mutual cooperation in the development of Udaipur and Aarhus cities.

He said one nodal official will be appointed from both cities to work out details of MoU implementation.

Bundsgaard visited Udaipur and said he was impress with the city’s old heritage.

The exchange of knowledge and technology between the two cities can be extended to other Indian cities too, said Bundsgaard who has invited Naidu to visit Aarhus city, along with a delegation from Udaipur. fii-news.com
