Ministry says the $375m contract is a step forward in responsible defence exports
BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited (BAPL) has signed a US$375 million contract with the Philippines’ Department of National Defence for the supply of DRDO’s Shore-based Anti-Ship Missile System.
The contract, signed on 28 Jan 2022, is an important step forward for Government’s policy of promoting responsible defence exports.
It is the first contract with the Philippines, said the Defence Ministry.
The missiles are manufactured in India by BAPL, a joint venture company of the Defence Research and Development Organisation. fiinews.com
