South Asia known for implementing iconic projects, says Srinivasan
Mumbai Metro Aqua Line 3, with a deep tunnel to make transportation safer in one of the world’s most populous cities, is among the top 50 most South Asian influential projects of the past 12 months, according to Project Management Institute (PMI).
The 33.5-km Aqua Line 3 is a part of the metro system under construction in Mumbai, the first in the city by Mumbai Metro Rail Corp Ltd.
Estimated to cost Rs.30,000 crore (US$4.0 billion), the Line is expected to reduce road congestion, besides reducing the load on the Western Line between Bandra and Churchgate.
