LED products fit for armed forces

Cumbria-based Oxley Group maintains a long-term relationship with one of India’s largest corporations, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) supplying its products.
“We had a long relationship with HAL, supplying a wide range of products,” said Marcus Goad, Business Development Manager of Oxley, which design and manufacturer LED lighting with night vision capabilities.
But Goad seeks more flexibilities in new opportunities, pointing to some of the “onerous terms” imposed in contracts.
“We always look to improve our situation. We find the Indian military market a little harder to access and we do find that Indian contractual conditions can be onerous.”
He calls for more ease of doing business in India, adding that Oxley is already an international player with customers such as Airbus Military, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics and BAE systems on the long list.
“Our light products are on platforms across the globe,” he said at the DSEI 2019 held 10-13 Sept 2019 in London.
In India, Oxley works with Jindal Rectifiers of Faridabad.
Oxley designs and manufactures panel mount LED indicators, EMI suppression filters and precision-machined connectors for customers requiring uncompromising quality and reliability in the world’s most demanding environments across military and industrial platforms.
Oxley is a world-renowned innovator in the design and manufacture of LED lighting systems for military and aerospace applications. Oxley has over four decades of experience in LED technology and the team were pioneers in developing night vision lighting suitable for use on military operations with night vision goggles (NVG).
It is a world class provider of advanced solutions for defence and aerospace applications – meeting the needs of global customers. fiinews.com
