Scheme supports tech domain funding
A total 110 projects related to 5G and 6G, costing Rs.304.70 crores, have been approved as at 30 June 2025 under Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) Scheme TTDF scheme, Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development Dr Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar said in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha on 6 Aug.
The duration of these R&D projects ranges from 1 to 5 years, and the projects are currently in the initial stages of development, he added.
For 5G and 6G advancements, TTDF scheme is supporting various technological domain funding involving government & private institutions, MSMEs, start-ups among others.
The scheme, launched on 1 Oct 2022, aims to fund Research and Development (R&D) and innovation in telecom technologies, fostering collaboration between academia, start-ups, MSMEs, research institutes, and industry to enhance the telecom ecosystem in India. Fiinews.com
