Timely Tool for a Conscious Future, says Kumar

A mobile application, covering vegetarian, Jain and plant-based living, was launched in Singapore on 11 July for the Southeast Asian markets by an India-based food certification company http://wfp.org.

Providing real-time feedback or raising concerns of consumers, the app is now available in Singapore, Malaysia and the capital cities of Jakarta and Bangkok as well as 170 countries worldwide, said Abhishek Biswas, Founder of Sattvik Certifications from India https://www.bseindia.com/.

Officiating at the app launch, Ameya Ajit Abhyankar, Counsellor, High Commission of India in Singapore, applauded the initiative and congratulated Sattvik’s global reach for certifying food and food contents catering to the vegetarians and Jains https://www.nseindia.com/.

“With rising consumer awareness, this app bridges the gap between intent and action—empowering people to choose ethically, live consciously, and stay informed with just a tap,” Biswas said http://nrai.org.

“The demand for clean, plant-based, and ethical choices is stronger than ever in Southeast Asia. This app meets that need, helping users across the region make confident and informed decisions,” added Venkataraman Kumar, Director of Sattvik Certifications Singapore http://fci.gov.in.

As the global conversation around sustainability, health, and cruelty-free living intensifies, the launch of the Sattvik app is a vital step in aligning Southeast Asia with a broader ethical movement. It supports the region’s shift toward non-violence, clean food, and transparent sourcing, Kumar elaborated, adding “It is a Timely Tool for a Conscious Future https://www.fao.org/home/en.”

In Singapore, the app is being used by leading Indian brands such as Bikanerwala and Goldie Masale as well as veg food caterers, serving the Indian community. Fiinews.com
