Ramakrishna sees vast opportunities for sustainable energy production
The biofuel sector has immense potential but requires extensive research and development to make it commercially viable, according to Ramakrishna YB, a Member Expert – Working Group on Biofuels, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG).
The sector also needs to overcome technical and economic barriers for unlocking its vast opportunities for sustainable energy production, said the former Chairperson of the Working Group on Biofuels under the MoP&NG sbi .
He delivered a keynote address at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) which celebrated World Biofuel Day with a special event aimed at showcasing the advancements in biofuels and carbon capture technologies on 10 Aug at its New Delhi campus iea .
He also shed light on the current policy framework, opportunities and the future of biofuels in India in his address, ‘Emerging Policy Ecosystem in India for Advanced Biofuels and Opportunities Towards Achieving Net Zero by 2070’ netzeroindia .
