Unique experience will enrich students’ lives with diverse learning experiences, says Dr Mhaiskar
SVKM’s NMIMS and Monash University are collaborating to offer students a broader worldview through their once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study in India and Australia for one and a half years each.
The partnership will offer BBA, B.Com. Hons, B.Sc. Economics, and B.Sc. Finance programs.
Professor Michaela Rankin, Professor of Accounting and Deputy Dean of International Accreditation at the Monash Business School, expressed her pleasure at signing the MoU.
Announcing the MoU on 17 Oct 2023, she said, “This agreement will mean that we will provide plenty of opportunities for commerce, finance, and business students to be able to complete their education at both institutions.
“We are both some of the best institutions in commerce education in the world, and we are glad to be able to provide students with the opportunity to experience an education both in India and Australia.”
“This partnership aligns perfectly with NMIMS’ vision of providing our students with the finest education and preparing them to shine on the international stage,” said Dr. Sharad Mhaiskar, Pro Vice Chancellor of NMIMS.
“Our commitment to internationalization has never been stronger, and this partnership with Monash University marks a significant stride in our relentless pursuit of global excellence in education. This unique experience will enrich students’ lives with diverse learning experiences,” Dr Mhaiskar said in a release on 17 Oct 2023.
Globalization of education has become imperative in today’s interconnected world, said the two universities in a joint release. It opens doors to diverse perspectives, cultures, and opportunities.
“The partnership reflects NMIMS’s commitment to offering its students world-class educational opportunities,” said the release.
“By collaborating with Monash University, NMIMS is providing its students with a global outlook as they immerse themselves in diverse surroundings and inclusive experiences. This exposure will help them to widen their horizons and become adaptable to the current job market, where international experience is highly valued.”
