REC-led mission contributes to Russia-India strategic partnership
Russian companies have discussed cooperation opportunities with more than 50 Indian counterparties, including importers, food distributors, traders, as well as representatives of industry associations and business councils – the Indian Chamber of International Business, the Indian Business Council and the Invest India Investment Agency.
The Russian Export Centre (VEB.RF) organised more than 150 meetings and b2b programme for the ‘Made in Russia’ business mission in New Delhi.
Russian producers presented meat, oil and fat products, ready-to-eat products, as well as beverages, confectionery, food ingredients and skin care products to potential Indian partners over two-days from 5 Oct 2023.
The Russian mission members also held multilateral meetings on the peculiarities of doing business in India, logistics and payments.
“Every single meeting on the margins of our business mission contributed to the strategic partnership between Russia and India,” Tatiana Ahn, Senior Managing Director for Integrated Export Promotion at the Russian Export Centre, said in a release on 14 Oct 2023.
“The mission participants demonstrated the competitive potential of Made in Russia products, received warm contacts and have already outlined plans for cooperation with Indian partners,” said Anh.
Russian Export Center JSC (REC), a State-owned development institute established by the Government, is to support the development of the non-commodity exports industry/sector.
