IREDA-RCT discussed Indosol Solar Manufacturing project capex
The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) has reviewed with KfW Development Bank the progress of current line of credit, technical assistance and have discussed potential future collaborations to support new and emerging renewable energy technologies.
IREDA has also explored collaborative opportunities and advancing partnerships with Commerz Bank, Germany.
Further, the IREDA team visited RCT GMbH at Konstanz, the technology provider for Indosol Solar Manufacturing project.
The two sides discussed the technology, milestones as well as capital and operating expenditures for the project, the Ministry of New and Renewables Energy said on 18 June 2023.
The Rs.43,143 crore project by Indosol Solar Private Ltd has a metallurgical grade silicon, polysilicon and float glass manufacturing plant at Ramayapatnam near Nellore, Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Indosol will also be setting up two projects of 10 GW and 50 GW capacities.
These meetings were held during IREDA participation in the “Intersolar Europe 2023” in Munich which was held 14-16 June 2023.
The IREDA team shared its initiatives in financing renewable energy projects, promoting energy efficiency and supporting the growth of renewable energy sector in India.
“The three-day exhibition allowed us to engage with global stakeholders to foster collaborations, exchange ideas, and drive the transition towards a greener and more sustainable future,” said IREDA CMD Pradip Kumar Das.
“Intersolar Europe provided a valuable opportunity for IREDA to showcase our accomplishments and expertise in Renewable Energy Financing domain,” he said.
