New Parliament building connects planning to reality and policy to realization
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has dedicated new parliament complex to the nation, expressing confidence that it will become the basis for the creation of a new, prosperous, strong and developed India.
“This is an India that walks the path of policy, justice, truth, dignity and duty and becomes stronger,” he said at the opening of the new complex on 28 May 2023.
“People of India have given themselves a gift for the Amrit Mahotsav,” he said.
Built at a cost of Rs.971 crore, the new parliament house can accommodate 888 Lok Sabha members and 300 members in the Rajya Sabha. The Lok Sabha is being designed to accommodate joint sessions, and will be able to host 1,272 members.
“This new Parliament building connects planning to reality, policy to realization, willpower to execution, and sankalp to siddhi.” This will be a medium for realizing the dreams of the freedom fighters. It will witness the sunrise of Aatmnirbhar Bharat and will see the realization of a Viksit Bharat.
The Prime Minister said that the new building is an example of the coexistence of ancient and modern.
“Every brick, every wall, every particle of this new Parliament House will be dedicated to the welfare of the poor,” Modi said. Fiinews.com
