Seven highways worth Rs.6,500cr inaugurated
Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has announced new connectivity route between Ballia-Ara, UP, through 28-km greenfield spur road. It will cost Rs.1,500 crores.
He said a Rs.130 crore greenfield road from Chandauli to Mohania will provide connectivity to Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh and Kaimur district of Bihar through the Delhi-Kolkata GT Road when completed.
The announcements were made during inauguration on 27 Feb 2023 of 7 National Highway projects with an investment of Rs.6,500 crores in Chitbada village, Ballia, Uttar Pradesh.
With the construction of this Greenfield Highway, eastern Uttar Pradesh will get better connectivity with Chhapra, Patna, Buxar in Bihar, he added.
Vegetable producing farmers will get direct benefit of three multi-modal terminals at Varanasi, Ghazipur and Haldia through the expressway. fiinews.com
