13 French companies to participate in Plastindia at Pragati Maidan
India is a major player in the plastic industry worldwide with a wealth of raw materials and potential of plastics exports reaching US$25 billion within the next 3 years, according to Business France which is organizing the French Pavilion at Plastindia to be held 1-5 Feb 2023 at New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan.
Thirteen French companies under the ‘French Fab’ brand, will exhibits at the 11th edition of Plastindia, a major event related to the plastic industry towards various industrial applications, the Trade and Invest Agency of the French Embassy in India said in a release on 20 Jan 2023.
The French companies will address the sector’s major challenges with high added value solutions, products and materials for the industrial performance of production processes while being committed to the ecological, digital transition and the circular economy.
Rated 3rd largest consumer of plastic in Europe, France is a key player in the sector with 9.5% of European consumption, behind Germany (24%) and Italy (13.8%). Europe ranks at the 3rd largest position in global production (16%) compared with Asia (51% amongst which China represents 31%) and the USA (19%).
