Elevated R.C.C. bridge on Son river inaugurated
Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has inaugurated two National Highway projects worth Rs.3,390 crore in Buxar, Bihar, along with which 37 underpasses, five major bridges and 13 minor bridges have been built to facilitate the movement of pedestrians and vehicles.
The 44-km 4-lane Koilwar to Bhojpur section on NH-922 cost of Rs.1,662 crore and the 48-km 4-lane Bhojpur to Buxar section on NH-922 cost of Rs.1,728 crore, making connectivity with Purvanchal Expressway easy.
“This will make it easy to reach Delhi from Bihar via Lucknow. The time taken to reach Delhi will be reduced from 15 hours to 10 hours,” he said.
Gadkari said this road provide agricultural produce easy access to the new market.
With the construction of Ganga bridge, the traffic between North and South Bihar will be convenient, he added.
Gadkari also inaugurated 1.5 km long 2-lane elevated R.C.C. bridge near Panduka on Son river in Rohtas, Bihar. It cost Rs.210 crore.
The traffic pressure on Dehri bridge will also be reduced and traffic jam at Aurangabad, Sasaram cities will be eased.
The Minister said with the construction of this bridge in the Panduka area, it will be easy to reach the market for industrial and agricultural and dairy products of nearby areas and states.
