Rs.120cr carpark to be ready by July 2022
More than 55% of the work has been completed at the Rs.475 crore Integrated Terminal Building with enhanced capacity and world-class facilities under construction at AAI’s Pune Airport.
It is likely to be completed by August 2023, said the Ministry of Civil Aviation in a project update.
The state-of-the-art terminal, covering more than 500,000 sq ft will be integrated with the existing terminal. It will have a total built-up area of 750,000 sq ft for handling 16 million passengers per annum, up from the current seven MMPA.
The new terminal building will be centrally air conditioned with provision of 10 passenger boarding bridges, 72 Check-in Counters and In-line Baggage handling system.
The energy efficient building will have Four-Star GRIHA rating.
Also under construction is a Rs.120 crore multilevel car park (ground plus three storeyed and two basement floors). It will be completed by July 2022 for parking 1,024 cars, the Ministry said on 16 Mar 2022. fiinews.com
