Azure overcame Covid-19 challenges to complete the project
Azure Power (NYSE: AZRE) has fully commissioned its largest project, the 600-MW Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) connected solar plant in Bikaner, Rajasthan, which supply electricity to SECI at a tariff of Rs.2.53 (~US 3.5 cents) per kWh for 25 years.
This is the largest solar power project in India, owned and operated at a single location by any developer, Azure said on 3 Jan 2021.
Azure Power has commissioned the project in phases, with the last 100 MW commissioned this month.
Following this commissioning, Azure Power has 2,510 MW of high-performing operational solar assets spread across the country.
