Puri exhorts the NCRPB team to expedite draft plan
The National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) is preparing a Regional Plan-2041 as a continuation of the region which has expanded to 55,083 sq km at present from 34,144 sq km in 2005.
“The forthcoming Regional Plan with a 20-year horizon of 2041 will, therefore, be very challenging. It will also be a unique opportunity for all of us to plan for a better future 2041,” said Hardeep S. Puri, Minister of State for Housing & Urban Affairs at the 39 Meeting of NCR Planning Board.
“Presently, NCRPB Secretariat is engaged in the preparation of Regional Plan-2041 as the perspective year of current Regional Plan-2021 is approaching,” he said in a release by NCRPB on 5 Oct 2020.
He appreciated participation in the plan preparation by various stakeholders, the ministries and departments.
“I would like to exhort the NCRPB team to expedite the preparation of the draft Regional Plan and bring it before the Board for wider consultations,” he said.
NCR Planning Board has 97 projects of the 366 under implementation and 269 completed.
The estimated cost of these 366 projects is Rs.31,853 crores of which Rs.15,393 crores have been sanctioned by the board and Rs.12,441 crores have been released so far. #NCR #developments #transportation #projects #tenders #plan /fiinews.com
