Tabled: Swedish-Indian MoUs
Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari has taken note of the recent products and innovations by the Swedish Automotive Safety Supplier ‘Autoliv’ in Stockholm on 18 Feb 2020.
The Minister also visited E-highway Test-bed Demonstration site in Sweden where he was updated on recent technological developments in the sector.
The visit was in line with the Government’s plan for E-highways.
Gadkari is representing India at the “3rd High Level Global Conference on Road Safety for Achieving Global Goals 2030” being held in Stockholm 19-20 Feb 2020.
Several MoUs will be signed by the Swedish and Indian businesses at the Sweden-India Transportation Safety and Innovation Partnership meeting to be attended by Gadkari and a number of CEOs.
The objective of the two-day conference is to bring road safety on the global agenda and renew the world community’s commitment to safer roads.
Leaders from participating countries will draw up a road-map for reaching the United Nation’s goal set under the UN Decade of Action of reducing road crashes by 2030. fiinews.com
