Rs.1,400 crore for Hub

PIB. — Shah unveiling foundation stone for the Integrated Development Hub on 26 Dec 2019 in East Delhi.

Rapid Transport Rail between Delhi and Meerut, Panipat and Alwar was being developed by the central Government on a fast track basis, announced Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah at the foundation Stone laying ceremony of Integrated Development of East Delhi Hub on 26 Dec 2019.

He said Rs.1,400 crore and 30-ha land have been dedicated for the Hub, assuring it will be completed in time.

Among ongoing developments, work has started on 70-km of the 116-km new Metro lines while 18 projects, worth Rs.802 crore had been completed under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation of Urban Transformation scheme in the city.

Overall, 70% land in the Hub is for residential purposes, 20% for commercial purposes and 10% land for public facilities.

The housing would include 4,526 units for middle class and 288 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) as well as stations for the pink and violet Metro lines. fiinews.com
