Gadkari gives update on Highway Projects
The proposed Expressway between Bengaluru and Chennai, a greenfield expressway of 285 km, is under Detailed Project Report (DPR) stage, Road Transport & Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari told parliament on 4 July 2019.
The project will be taken up based on the outcome of the DPR and availability of funds, he added.
The Minister also listed out details of the National Highway projects in Karnataka planning to commence during current financial year 2019-20.
These are:
Nidagatta – Mysore (6 laning) – NH-275, cost Rs.3,300, 61.104-km
4-lane of Tumkur – Shimoga section of NH-206 from km 12+310 to km 66+540 (Package – I), cost 907 crore, 53 km.
4-lane of Tumkur – Shimoga section of NH-206 from km 66+540 to km 119+790 (Package – II), cost Rs.1,144 crore, 57 km.
4-lane of Tumkur – Shimoga section of NH-206 from km 119+790 tokm 166+100 (Package – III), cost Rs.971, 48-km.
2-lane with paved shoulders of Bellakere Port to Kumtasirsi road section of NH-676E, cost Rs.360.6 crore, 58.92-km.
4-laning of Bellary – Byrapura section of NH-150A, cost Rs.1,313.9 crore, 54.95-km.
4-laning of Chalkere-Hiriyur section of NH-150A, cost Rs.1,157 crore, 55.705-km.
4-laning of Bettadahalli–Shivmoga section of NH-206 Package-IV, cost Rs.972.39 crore, 56.35-km.
6-laning of Nelamangala-Tumkur Section of NH-48, cost Rs.1,152.66,
44.73-km.
Widening of Channarayanapatna Bypass from 2 Lane with paved shoulder to 4 Lane, in Devihalli ( km 108+456/contractual km 110+000) to Channarayanapatna (Km 150+000) Section of NH-75 (old NH-48), on EPC Basis, cost Rs.451.4 crore, 10.4-km.
Widening of Hassan Bypass from from 2 Lane with paved shoulder to 4 Lane, in Channarayanapatna (Km 150+000) To Hassan (km 185+668/contractual km 189+500) Section of NH-75 (old NH-48), on EPC Basis, Rs.372.19 crore, 10.314-km.
6-laning of Dobaspet to Doddaballapur bypass section of NH-648 (old NH-207), cost Rs.1447.35 crore, 48-km.
4/6-laning of Doddaballapur bypass to Hoskote section of NH-648 (old NH-207), cost Rs.1178.59 crore, 32-km.
Reconstruction to Two Lane with Paved Shoulders from Ds.CH. 442+180 to Ds.CH.485.240 of Huliyar to KB Cross section & from Ds.CH. 532+100 to Ds.CH.539+100 (from KB Cross to Nelligere section of NH-150A, cost Rs.242.61 crore, 50.06-km.
Construction of 4 lane ROB and its approaches in lieu of existing level crossing 75 at Km.15 on NH 218 in Karnataka (Job No NH:218: KNT:2016-17-008-S&R(B)), cost Rs.58.129 crore.
The Minister said funds have been allocated for 69 other projects in Karnataka. The sanctioned projects were progressing in various stages in the state. fiinews.com
