Industry veteran leads Indian exporters
The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) has elected a staunch votary of exporters issues, Sharad Kumar Saraf, as its new President.
Chairman and Founder of Technocraft Industries (India) Ltd, Saraf in his earlier stints in FIEO has served twice as Vice-President and 4 times as Regional Chairman (WR), announced FIEO on 27 June 2019.
Both Alumni and Member of Governing Board of IIT Bombay, Saraf is a member of 5 different Export Promotion Councils, having experience of multiple business segments.
With an expertise and experience of well over 4 decades in foreign trade, Saraf is also Member, Managing Committee of Texprocil, Cotton Associations of India and Confederation of Indian Textile Industry.
Saraf during his earlier stint as FIEO Vice-President and Regional Chairman (WR), has helped established Indian Exporters Grievance Forum for addressing exporters’ grievances through legal channel. Besides, he also played a pivotal role in obtaining path-breaking judgements in cases of 80 HHC, Service Tax, Target Plus Scheme, Incremental Export Incentivization Scheme (IEIS), etc.
Also, a Founder of Export Promotion Council for EOU and SEZ, Saraf during his earlier tenure in FIEO started Innovative Marketing initiatives by establishing distribution centers in several countries, helped in formulation of various export promotion policies on EOU, SEZ, Advance Licences and other schemes. fiinews.com
