Ministry executives 16 projects
Construction of Rs.30,000 crore roads is underway in Jammu & Kashmir, said Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari.
NHAI is executing eight projects worth Rs.14,987 crore, NHIDCL/BRO – six projects costing Rs.24,120 crore, and PWD two projects for Rs 6,000 crore.
These roads are part of the 16 projects worth Rs.45,107 crore the Ministry is executing through NHAI, NHIDCL, State PWD and BRO under the Prime Minister’s special development package (PMDP) for J&K announced on 7th November 2015.
He gave details of the projects while inaugurating a bridge on Ravi river on 22 Jan 2019 at a public rally after inaugurating the bridge at village Keerian Gandial in Kathua, fiinews.com
