Rajdhani Express flagged off
The Central Government has invested Rs.75,000 crore on infrastructure developent in Mumbai, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal told reports on 19 Jan 2019 after flagging off the first Rajdhani Express of the Central Railway.
The Rajdhani Express runs from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Hazrat Nizamuddin in Delhi. Its frequency will be increased from the present twice a week – Wednesday and Saturday – service.
The Centre and Maharashtra Governments have approved Phase 3-A of the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP), estimated to cost Rs.54,777 crore.
The MUTP 3-A and other projects going on in Mumbai suburban region are worth close to Rs.75,000. fiinews.com
