AP serves as a promising region, says Modi
Samir Modi, Executive Director of KK Modi Group, said he aims to strengthen Industry participation, especially young entrepreneurs in the Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s (CACCI) activities and conferences.
Modi, who took charge of CACCI presidency following 23-24 Nov 2018 conference in Istanbul, emphasized on the power of thoughts and ideas to transform the world.
The Asia Pacific region serves as one of the most promising regions in the current times, he stressed on taking charge of CACCI, a non-governmental regional grouping of apex national chambers and business enterprise in Asia Pacific and the Western Pacific.
Modi, who is also a member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Executive Committee, took over as President for two years during CACCI 32nd Annual Conference Meeting.
The CACCI annual conference attracts industry leaders from across Asia-Pacific countries and serves as an important platform to discuss and deliberate upon key economic issues impacting global businesses.
Sanjay Bhattacharya, Indian Ambassador to Turkey, in his keynote address, reiterated India’s importance for the world economy from the Indo-pacific perspective and presented India as an opportunity for the CACCI members.
The year 2020 would be an important year for India with respect to CACCI as it will be hosting the annual conference of CACCI, said FICCI in a statement on 26 Nov 2018. fiinews.com
