London-HQ company seeks to penetrate Indian Market

London-headquartered advanced start-up, SteelRock Technologies (SR), has developed a series of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), the capabilities of which fit well into the requirements by the Indian Defence Services.
SteelRock Technologies provides UAVs and counter-UAV products as well as solutions primarily designed for government and military clients. These capabilities are also applicable for commercial sector.
Top of the range is the company’s border protection and border security systems.
UAV for advance reconnaissance does thermal imaging, targeting tracking and operates with day light cameras, explained SR founder Rupert English.
“This would give you a very good eye in the sky with near silent speed controller capabilities,” he said.
The UAV are designed in such a way that it allows to monitor the target without being detected.
SR is looking for a representative in India, a market with big defence spending as it modernize various sectors of the Defence Ministry.
SR offers unique business model:
Counter-UAV detection, threat mitigation and elimination;
UAV platform sale and development, with primary focus on smaller rotary and fixed-wing platforms;
Software development including bespoke flight systems and end to end encryption;
Sensor/payload development;
Aerial platform integration for a diverse range of governmental & commercial applications;
Data capture and analysis.
The products with services:
MULTI ROTOR – SR offers a range of custom-built, rotary UAV platforms for a broad array of military and commercial applications.
Designed and manufactured in our UK production facility, we provide our customers with class-leading performance, flexibility of use and diversity of payload options.
The Red Kite is a multi-purpose and mission fixed-wing UAV that offers high performance in both commercial, military and security applications. Built around a compact carbon air frame with a three metre wingspan, the Red Kite is readily transportable in its own custom Pelican case. It can be deployed quickly and easily for superior flight times, range and payload carrying requirements. The Red Kite is powered by a choice of gas or lithium polymer electric-powered motors which can provide endurance of up to 10 hours. Telemetry ranges of up to 180km from the operator / base station controller offer significant scope for undertaking more challenging missions.
The Red Kite has an interchangeable payload carrying system with a broad range of compatible sensors including lidar, thermal, HD camera with optical zoom, target tracking, facial recognition and RF scanning nodes. It is therefore an ideal long-distance surveillance/inspection platform with practicality, performance and flexibility at its heart. The Red Kite can also be used in a “top cover” communications platform role, whether on its own or in conjunction with other SRT UAVs for target designation and acquisition.
The NightFighter Digital is SR’s most advanced portable counter-UAV device, with class-leading performance specifications. The system can be configured and optimized for a broad range of application and operational theatres.
The ODIN fixed counter-UAV system is SR’s most advanced counter-UAV device, with class leading performance specifications. The system can be configured and optimized for a broad range of applications and operational theatres with the ability to detect, identify and effect unauthorized UAVs.
It employs highly directional helix antennas to minimise collateral effect, allied to a sophisticated pan and tilt electro-optical array (Silent Sentinel Jaeger) and to a highly sensitive UAV detection radar system (Kelvin Hughes SharpEye SxV radar). fiinews.com
