Developments on Andaman Island.

National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog will host an investors’ conference on 10 August 2018 for the development of eco-tourism on the Andaman & Nicobar, and Lakshadweep Islands on Public Private Participation basis.

It will attract investment for the sustainable development of eco-tourism projects in Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep islands.

Eleven anchor tourism projects are proposed with private sector participation under suitable risk-sharing model and through open-competitive bidding.

NITI Aayog, along with the respective Union Territories Administration is organizing the conference.

The government has accorded priority for sustainable development of the islands and overall maritime development. fiinews.com
