State to get digital infra
Andhra Pradesh continues to attract big investment after hosting the three-day CII Partnership Summit which ended on 25 Feb 2018 with Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) pledging Rs.55,000 crore by 2022.
RIL plans marketing gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) across the country, develop hydrocarbon fields in Krishna Godavari (KG) Basin, off the state’s coast, and digital infrastructure in the state.
India Gas Solutions, a 50:50 RIL and British Petroleum (BP) joint venture for marketing gas and LNG, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the summit for investing Rs.40,000 crore.
The partnership had earlier announced Rs.40,000 crore for develoing KG-D6 gas discoveries off Andhra Pradesh coast through three projects.
The three fields, to be developed in phases between 2020-2022, will supply 30-35 million cubic meters of domestic gas.
In addition, Reliance Infocomm has proposed Rs.15,000 crore digital infrastructure development. fii-news.com
