Detailed Project Report needs approval
Name of Project Development of Greenfield Port township – Palasbari at Kamrup Rural District of Assam. Area of the project 500 acres (approx.) of greenfield township development in land to be reclaimed from dredging of Brahmaputra River.
It is subject to DPR Status of approvals.
Project contours: Rapid rural to urban migration in the State has stressed the existing urban infrastructure of Assam. This has necessitated growth of new urban areas with excellent connectivity.
With the newly proposed expressway along Brahmaputra and planned usage of the mighty river for logistics and transportation, there is immense potential for developing land along the river for development of greenfield township.

Connectivity Palashbari is 15-km away from NH 37 and 15-km away from Guwahati Airport.
Proximity to proposed IT park and Chaygaon Industrial Growth centre makes Palashbari an ideal location for development of a new port based township.
Proposed Infrastructure Concerned Agency shall ensure supply of Electricity and Water at the site.
