Indian and Chinese companies have been urged to collaborate in the IT and IT Enabled Services (ITES) sector as their combined strengths for building new solutions in the domain of automation, internet of things and artificial intelligence.

Making the call, Sudhanshu Pandey, Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, has also encouraged Chinese companies to take advantage of the opportunities available as part of the ongoing Make in India initiative of the Government of India.

Pandey spoke at the 1st India – China Dalian IoT Conference held in Dalian on 20 September 2017.

“We hope that the two sides will take good advantage of this conference to strengthen communication, increase understanding, promote cooperation between Indian IT enterprises and Dalian manufacturing enterprises to achieve prosperous results in the areas of IoT, smart equipment manufacturing, and Big Data Analysis,” he said.

“India and China have both leveraged our human capital to become the world leaders in our domains, and are heralded as the fastest growing economies.

“With the new digital wave, today we have a unique opportunity to merge hardware and software together to create smart solutions for the world,” said Gagan Sabharwal, senior director for Global Trade Development at the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM).
