Single window clearance system to support investors.

Odisha state government has put in place a business-friendly tourism policy, providing lucrative incentives and subsidies to investors.

It has also initiated single window clearance system, making the process of acquiring various clearances easier for businesses, said Dr. Nitin Bhanudas Jawale, Director & Additional Secretary, Department of Tourism.

Dr. Jawale said the development of infrastructure in tourism sector was one of the critical components and the State Government was looking for private sector participation.

Odisha is promoting Beach Tourism; Eco Tourism; Buddhist Tourism; Heritage Tourism; Religious Tourism; Medical Tourism; Travel Tourism; Tribal Tourism; Wellness Tourism; Cruise Tourism; Sand Art Tourism and Adventure Tourism, in a mission mode, he said.

He was speaking at the first Odisha Travel Bazaar (OTB) roadshow in New Delhi on 22 August 2017.

The Bazaar is to be held on October 15-17, 2017 in Bhubaneswar, by the Department of Tourism, in partnership with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

Odisha is emerging as a priority destination for creative travelers for authentic experiences with its unique natural and cultural heritage, for a diverse and immersive travel experiences, said Tourism Minister Ashok Ch. Panda.

The Bazaar would give investors an opportunity to explore various sectors of tourism business, said the Minister, urging stakeholders in the tourism sector to invest in Odisha and tap its full potential. fii-news.com
