Chief Minister announced Rs.556.9 crore Infra projects.

Punjab state’s chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh has finalised Rs.3,000-crore World Bank-aided project for potable water in Amritsar.
The surface water scheme will replace the existing groundwater-based supply scheme.
The project will address a serious concern of the region, which is facing severe depletion of the groundwater, and is witnessing a surge in vector-borne diseases.
Singh has also announced Rs.556.9 crore worth of projects in the city covering roads and bridge.
The projects announced included the construction of roads from Amritsar-Bhikhiwind-Khem Karan Road and Mata Ganga Ji Marg connecting Amritsar-Jhabhal Road to Gurdwara Baba Budha.
The announcement also included a flyover from Batala road to Majitha road at 4S Chowk; a unified tourism information and facilitation centre and multipurpose sports and recreation facility. fii-news.com
