NTPC’s green masala bonds

NTPC is staying green with 32-GW renewable projects.

National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) has raised Rs.2,000 crore through issuance of green masala bonds in overseas market for financing renewable energy projects.

It is part US$4 billion medium term note programme, #Piyush Goyal, #Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal, Mines New & Renewable Energy and Mines in a written reply to a question in #Lok Sabha on 23 March 2017.

“National Thermal Power Corporation Limited has drafted/prepared its long-term Corporate Plan and has planned to achieve 32 GW installed capacity through renewable energy resources by 2032”, the minister said. fii-news.com
