Aerospace research park
India needs an aerospace research park to motivate students into science subject, according to Dr Srimathy Kesan, chief executive officer of the #Space Kidz India.
“I want to encourage and motivate the students to do much more in science,” said Dr Kesan who has built a working relationship with #National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in the United States and the Russian Space Agencies.
Dr Kesan draws children to science with the aim of building a pool of scientists in the coming year, pointing out that India’s pool of scientists was depleting as more and more students were opting for engineering or medical studies.
Dr Kesan was one of 11 women from India who received the Women Icons awards in Singapore on 17 March 2017.
In total, the awards were presented to 25 Asian ladies for having dedicated their lives to social work in their respective countries.
The awards were organized by #Business Excellence & Research Group Pte Ltd and supported by #Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. fii-news.com
