Inzpire’s market strategy
The United Kingdom-based Inzpire group is taking a strategic approach to the Indian market, offering its innovative tech products and services for the armed forces.
The company is seeking partners in the defence industry for producing a tablet, or cockpit mounted, situational awareness tool for flight navigation and Targeted Fidelity Device Simulators for aviation training.
“We have demonstrated the situational awareness software to the Indian Air Force and there is an aspiration from both parties to undertake a flight trial in the near future” Jonny Priest, Head of Helicopter Services Division at Inzpire, said.
He sees a strong demand for the cockpit situational awareness software on tablet in India.
The partner would have to ensure the hardware support platform is of high quality in order to satisfy the Indian Air Forces requirements and preferably made in India.
“Whilst we could use a commercial off the shelf solution we would ideally like the partner to produce the tablet supporting the Made-in-India initiative,” Priest said at the Farnborough International Airshow held July 11-15, 2016.
He continued, ‘It would also be our intention to transfer the support of any and all equipment in service to an Indian partner; understanding the importance placed upon sovereign control of defence capability, and the positive economic impact that would be seen through the creation of additional jobs in India’.
The tablet-based situational awareness tool is currently used by aircrew in the United Kingdom and international defence sectors.
Inzpire has also developed a Targeted Fidelity Device Simulator, available at a fraction of the cost of conventional full motions simulators.
The software-based simulator offers a targeted solution for a wide range of aviation training and tactical scenarios. “It uses the latest in virtual battlespace technology with the capability to configure bespoke and realistic scenarios”.
“The military needs a more cost effective yet fully immersive and flexible solution” he explains. By focussing on the software to provide realistic tactical scenarios and cutting edge graphics rather than expensive and redundant motion systems, Inzpire can provide a revolutionary new way to provide operational training.
Inzpire is in early discussion with at least one Hyderabad-based group as its local party to supply the simulator to the Indian Air Force.
“We describe ourselves as a reliable, trustworthy and agile company; and we would like to transfer these qualities to India,” fii-news.com
