Bharti’s Mittal joins ICC
Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman of Bharti Enterprises, has been elected the Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) at the ICC World Council meeting at Sao Paulo, Brazil.
ICC is the world’s largest business organization with over 6.5 million members in over 130 countries.
Mittal is the third Indian to be elected to this coveted position in the 100 years long history of ICC.
Bharat Ram and Shri Hari Shankar Singhania were the other two Indians who held this prestigious position earlier.
Mittal takes over the ICC Chairmanship from Terry McGraw, Chairman Emeritus of S&P Global who has become ICC Honorary Chairman.
