Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. will use its High Value Engineering Centre in India to provide engineering service to Alcoa of Australia’s baseload sustaining capital projects at the Kwinana and Pinjarra alumina refineries in Western Australia.
Under the multi-year contract, Jacobs is providing engineering and project management services to these refineries.
The program of work aims to leverage Jacobs’ High Value Engineering Center in India, providing cost effective design services.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Industrial President Andrew F. Kremer stated, “We are excited to be able to utilize our global engineering and program management experience with Alcoa of Australia. This contract award significantly solidifies our sustaining capital business in this region and further diversifies the clients we serve in Western Australia. It also provides a platform from which to tender for larger sustaining capital projects.”
